Publishing a blog for money or pleasure

Posted in Internet Marketing on 05.02.10

One thing I have noticed is that a lot of people are blogging for money. Yeah that is part of it, because everyone wants to make a few quid, but really I write for the love of writing.

Sometimes I find myself writing about a load of crap and other times I’m writing about something I find really interesting. Like many other people I have paid 1000’s of dollars to be educated on the industry of Internet marketing, but to be honest, I learnt maybe 1 or 2 things that added to my structure and everything else came from experience.

I have wasted so much money on courses which haven’t really taught me anything new and that is the danger of this business. All the information you require on the net for internet marketing is freely available. You just need to read up on the subject. There is good and totally free advice out there.

My experience in Internet Marketing has taken me from one side of the internet to the other and still; I am learning on a daily basis.

What I do find important though, is that you need to have backlinks. They aren’t as easy to acquire as some people make out. So what is the next best thing? Ha hah, this is something I just stumbled on whilst reading up on a subject. Make your own sites using dedicated IP addresses. Link them into your main site.

Just watch that site go up the rankings. You will see an immediate improvement once your new sites have hit the search engines. It isn’t rocket science, it just takes a little time and a little effort.

Make sure you write for pleasure and not to make money. Or to be optimized for SEO….(SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION) because quite frankly is doesn’t come across as coherent information and it looks like it is specifically for the search engines. People might land on your pages, but they won’t go no further if is not what they were looking for in decent info. You will then be classed as a bad site to visit.

I like writing and I write about everything that comes to mind, even if it doesn’t make much sense when I read it. That’s when I end up doing the yucky bits like editing, just so that other people can read it. However, my success has come from writing about what I love. I hope you will write about things that you love. It will make for a much more interesting internet, instead of finding rehashed crap all over the place.

There is nothing worse than finding spammed articles or quotes or whatever you are looking for. Unfortunately, they seem to flood the market though and it is difficult to find the good stuff.

Hopefully, one day we will be rid of the black hatters out there. Maybe not in my life time, but one day they will realise that it just isn’t worth it.

Go on, go and write about something you find interesting. I would love to read it and give you a comment. NOT SPAM. Just let me know of your post and I’ll check it out. :)

See ya soon.

Article Marketing Secrets That Bring Massive Traffic To Your Websites

Posted in Uncategorized on 02.02.10

By: Mavis Nong[removed]// [removed]

There are several marketing methods you can use to drive massive traffic to your websites and one of the them is article marketing. This form of marketing is one of the most effective strategies if it is done the right way and it is free. In order to be successful with article marketing, you need to provide answers and solutions to the problems for people who are searching online for the specific information. This marketing strategy has become popular today than ever before and it takes more than just writing and posting your articles online. You want people to find your articles, read them and benefit from them.

Here are some article marketing secrets to help you:

1.Keyword Research

You need to identify your target market first, then do a keyword research and build your content around your discovered keywords so that people can find your article. This is a highly important part of the process and you need to do it properly. There are free keyword research tools out there that you can use to find out what people are actually searching for.

2.Title Relevance

Use a catchy title and make sure it matches what is in the body of your article. If your title doesn’t represent what the article is about, then you will lose your readers and your article would not be accepted by the article directories.

3.Keyword Density

This relates to how often your chosen keyword is used in your article. If you overuse it, that would be considered as SPAM.

4.Keyword Placement

You definitely want to put your keyword in your title as well as in the first couple of sentences in your article. This is what will show you in the search engine results. You also need to sparingly use your keyword in the rest of the article and in your resource box.

5.Body of Your Article

Make it interesting and appealing to the reader – use bold, italic and underline functions. Make sure your article is relevant, answers the reader’s question and provides value. The quality of your article is also important – check your grammar and spelling so that you don’t put your reader off. Subtitles, which are engaging questions or points, break the reading and give you the opportunity to grab the audience.

6.Resource Box

This is a separate box at the end of your article. This is the section where you’re allowed to promote, give call to action and put links to your websites. Don’t put too many links and confuse the reader. Most article directories allow up to 3. Hyperlink your keyword so it’s clickable and directs the reader to your website. It’s very important that you write a resource box that moves the reader to want to click through to your website. Don’t write about yourself, the reader doesn’t want to know about you, they are interested in the solutions to their problems you offer! You need to create curiosity.

7.Submission

Make sure you submit your article to the good sites that rank best on the search engines.

Choose the relevant category to match your article.

Article summary: write a unique description (1-2 sentences) which is not part of the body of your article or use something with the keyword in the middle or towards the end because that’s not going to get as much attention as the first part of the article. The first few sentences of your article will be indexed by the search engine

Tagging/keywords: don’t put too many tags/keywords – stick to an average of 5 as you want to direct your traffic the right way. You can also include keywords that you couldn’t put in the body of your article.

8.Promotion

Remember that your article will be isolated online, so it’s important to promote it properly to give it the maximum exposure. Use social bookmarking, video, your blog, Twitter, Facebook and Betternetworker. Also broadcast your article to your subscribers. Can you see the number of people who will have instant access to your content even before it gets ranked? Incredible!

How To Make 2010 Your Best Year Ever!

Posted in Internet Marketing on 31.12.09

Author: Deon Bryan

Do you have big dreams for the next year for your business and your finances? Every day can be a new day if you have a great attitude but a new year presents great opportunities for improved mindset. A new year feels like a fresh start with things like: health goals, money goals, and business plans. What’s your plan for the next year in terms of growth for your internet marketing business? Here are some suggestions and internet marketing resources.

Analyse

Analyse what you’ve done this past year. Analyse what you’ve done well and what hasn’t gone so well and learn from all of it. Ask yourself questions and carefully weigh the answers. What have you done right? What might you do differently? Every failure you endure can be a learning experience so look back and reflect and this can help you move forward. Don’t forget to analyse your website statistics and analyse your competition. These things can give you a good idea of where you might want to focus some energy in the coming year. Resources: Use free website analytic programs, such as Google Analytics. And, get a journal for writing and tracking your goals.

Improve

Self improvement is important. What should you do more of? Maybe it’s blogging, maybe it’s organisation. Maybe you need to make a financial investment to take your business to the next level. Maybe you want to overcome self-confidence issues and REALLY take the plunge with your business. Improving on your shortcomings is something you should continually work at. It won’t always bring results overnight but can start you on the right road toward success. Improve your knowledge and your skills, especially in SEO, copywriting, and marketing knowledge areas. Resources: Check out my free internet marketing bootcamp, for instance.

Learn

Learning is power. It’s a cliché but it’s true! The web provides endless education opportunities. Don’t believe everything you read but find mentors whom you trust and learn from them. Learn from your mistakes as well as your triumphs. Don’t hesitate to invest in an internet marketing education. You can even obtain a degree in internet marketing from accredited online schools if you wish. Or, join a mentoring group and learn all you can from those who have become successful and learned from their mistakes.

Lather, Rinse and Repeat

When you find great internet marketing resources and tools, use them to the max! Too often, people find a bit of success and become complacent. In terms of the world of internet marketing, it’s ever-evolving so something that works today might only work for a short amount of time. If you find a winning strategy, use it to the full potential!

Do Unto Others

Treat others how you want to be treated. It’s a simple philosophy in life and works great in terms of customer service. One thing many internet marketers are lacking is customer service skills. If you can give your customers a great experience in doing business with you, they’ll tell their friends and they’ll buy from you again in the future.

Pay it Forward

Has someone helped you learn internet marketing? Why not be an internet marketing resource to others as well? Do you believe in the laws of attraction? If you do, you’ll know that great things happen in the presence of kindness and generosity.

Go!

Don’t just sit there dreaming about success; make it happen! Only you have the power be successful and happy today, tomorrow, next year, and the year after.

The Importance of Developing a Sound and Fundamental Marketing Plan

Posted in Internet Marketing on 31.12.09

Author: Laurie J. Brenner

Do you find that you keep getting off point with your internet business? Have you made a few dollars online, but don’t know what you did to bring that money in? Then understanding the importance of developing a sound and fundamental marketing plan will be critical to your online success.

I read somewhere online that 90% of all internet marketers will fail or quit within the first year. Why is that? Internet marketing isn’t really hard to learn – but I think most people are misled when they read headlines like Make A Half A Million Over Night and when it doesn’t happen, they get discouraged.

Internet Marketing Is Not Rocket Science

It really isn’t – it’s about the exponential factor. If you take two cents ($.02) and double its exponent (2 x2 = 4, 4x 2= 8, 8×2 = 16) every day for thirty days at the end of 30 days you will have $10,737,418.24. That’s starting from 2 cents on the first day. The breaking point in this formula is basically half way through the month. This is exactly the way that internet marketing works — it’s all about the numbers.

Develop a Plan — and stick to it. Once you find something that works, keep doing that. Do it again and again, and again, only with different products and/or niche markets.

Stay on Target — the biggest problem most people have with internet marketing is that they don’t stay on target. They get distracted and working online can be one of the most distracting things I’ve ever dealt with.

Choose a Methodology — and conquer it. Whether it be pay-per-click advertising (not recommended for small pocketbooks or the new person starting out on the web) – pay-per-action, the bum marketing method (article marketing) or niche websites – to name a few – whatever method you choose – stick to it until you know the ins and outs of it and can do it in your sleep.

Stay with What Works — you don’t have to reinvent the wheel – you really don’t Stay with what works until you’ve got a concrete program going. Don’t switch up mid stream – if you want to play with a new approach, play outside of your regular marketing program.

Be Consistent – don’t stop what you’re doing – keep at it and you will continue to build momentum. The idea is to reach that exponential mark that continues to bring in an steady income for you.

Be Honest and Fair — and don’t take things to personally – keep yourself out of your business and keep your emotions out of it too. If you stay honest and fair in all your dealings online this will follow you where ever you go.

Develop a work schedule – that works for you and continue to build on this until you’ve got something happening for you continuously. Until you get your program going, it will more than likely take a lot of work up front.

Realize That It Takes Work — understand that just thinking about what you want to be doing but not putting action behind those thoughts won’t get you off the ground. In order to fly, you have to build that airplane, take it for a test drive and then maintain it to keep it working for you.

About the Author:

I know how frustrating it can be, because I’ve been there myself – but it doesn’t have to be if you can develop a sound and fundamental marketing plan for yourself.

If you don’t think this is something you can do or you are too confused about it and you have a few dollars to spend, I know someone who took copious notes when she first went online and created a plan that not only makes her money, but also makes money for all of those who use it.

It’s a plan that works. I am more than pleased to recommend this product to you, it’s something I purchased for myself. It works! To find out more, visit One Week Marketing Review
